Volquartsen Custom has teamed up with knife maker Montana Knife Company to introduce a Volquartsent Custom edition Speedgoat fixed blade knife.
Volquartsen Custom states “The Speedgoat from Montana Knife Company is made from 52100 high carbon ball bearing steel.
These cryogenically heat-treated blades provide a perfect balance of toughness and edge retention. Once the razor edge has been lost, it can be easily sharpened with a small stone.
Unlike other knives, the Speedgoat’s edge can be maintained by even novice knife owners.
Additionally, these blades have been parkerized to a black finish, which will help minimize rust and glare. While these incredibly tough blades are built for the long haul, 52100 steel is not stainless so light maintenance is suggested.
After use, clean the blade and occasionally apply a little wax or oil.”
