Kershaw Knives announced the roll out of their latest in their series of Copper accented knives with the Cinder Copper which is designed to be an easy-carry, keychain ready, multi-function pocket knife.

Kershaw Knives states “The Cinder, designed by custom knifemaker Rick Hinderer, is the ultimate box cutter and handy all-around mini-knife. Its convenient small size makes it great to keep almost anywhere—on a keychain, in a pack, at home, or in the car. And when you do need it, this handy Kershaw opens manually with a thumb stud and locks into place with a liner lock. For eye-appeal, the exposed liner lock features cutouts that enhance the lines on the textured handle.
Copper handle scales give the Cinder a fresh look. While copper is heftier than stainless steel or glass-filled nylon, because the Cinder is so small, the extra weight is hardly noticeable. In fact, it weighs only about a half-ounce more than the original. You’ll especially enjoy watching the handle develop an attractive patina over time.
The handle pairs nicely with the 1.4-inch stonewashed blade. Now, you might think blade this size is too small to be useful. Not true with the Cinder. Rick and Kershaw added an upswept tip, which puts the edge at a convenient position for cutting. Got larger hands? No problem. Just choke up on the knife past the pivot point for an effective three-finger grip.
The Cinder also offers multi-function convenience with a bottle opener on the back end. A large lanyard hole makes it easy to slip the Cinder onto your keychain, too. Small and light, the Cinder packs more punch than you might expect. The new copper handle just makes it even better.”

[…] Kershaw Knives states “Instead of a flipper sticking out beneath your knife, with SLT, the flipper stays almost completely hidden within the handle. But just pull back on it—like a standard flipper—and the Turismo opens easily with SpeedSafe assisted opening. Visually, the SLT hidden tab gives the Turismo a smooth, sleek look. The Turismo is a smaller knife—just right for when you want a more compact EDC. With a handle length of 3.8 inches, it doesn’t take up much space in your pocket, but you can still get a solid four-finger grip around the black-oxide-coated, stainless steel handle. The Turismo’s blade is similarly compact at just 2.8 inches. A gently curved belly provides ideal cutting power for all your everyday tasks. The Turismo’s blade is 8C13MoV stainless steel with an attractive satin finish on the grinds and sanded flats. A cutout near the spine of this modified drop-point blade provides additional weight relief. The blade locks safely open during use with a sturdy frame lock. The Turismo’s deep-carry pocketclip can be reversed left/right in the tip-up position. The custom-like backspacer has small, hexagon-shaped cutouts for a little added interest. The Turismo proves that small knives can deliver big features and big performance.” […]
