CRKT introduces the Gravitic Flip™ Manual OTF, designed by Ted Valerio. This lightweight knife features a unique flip mechanism for easy blade deployment and secure closure via magnets. Reviving a classic knife design for modern use, it combines efficiency with convenience, perfect for everyday carry with ambidextrous usability.
CRKT states ” Designed by Ted Valerio, the Gravitic Flip™ is a different kind of manual OTF. Once a rare curiosity, now reworked for today.
The fully captured blade stays put, magnetic retention snaps closed with a satisfying click, and ambidextrous tabs keep things easy. Light and fast in hand, Gravitic Flip™ does the job without getting in the way. A clever idea, reimagined the right way.
The Gravitic Flip™ (e.g. GRA-vi-tick) revives a little-known piece of knife history with a modern twist. Designed by Ted Valerio, founder of Teval Knives, this manual out-the-front knife channels the ingenuity of the original “Flip It” knives—once a rare curiosity, now reimagined for today’s everyday carry.
Unlike spring-driven OTFs, the Gravitic Flip™ uses a vintage-inspired flip insert mechanism. A quick flick of the insert deploys the dual-edge spearpoint blade forward, where tabs on the insert recess into the handle to lock it firmly in place. Recessed magnets on the insert keep the blade secure when closed, giving you smooth, reliable action without the need for springs or buttons.
Lightweight and endlessly fidgetable, the Gravitic Flip™ proves that sometimes looking back is the best way forward.”
