Wilson Combat introduces the Wilson Woods Blades SES

Wilson Combat has launched the Wilson Woods Blades SES, a collaboration between Ryan Wilson and Steve Woods. This hard-use fixed blade, crafted from CPM 154 stainless steel, features an ergonomic Skip-Checkered G10 handle for secure grip and control. The compact 3.5-inch blade is paired with an ambidextrous Kydex sheath for versatile carry.

Wilson Combat states “Forged from a collaboration between Ryan Wilson of Wilson Combat and Steve Woods of Rock River Iron Works—the SES marks the first blade from Wilson Woods Blades.

The SES was built to reflect the standards of two craftsmen known for precision, durability, and performance. Designed as a hard-use fixed blade, it balances clean lines with functional strength. Every contour serves a purpose—from blade geometry to handle texture—resulting in a knife that feels locked in and ready for real-world carry.”

KEY DETAILS:

  • CPM 154 Stainless Steel Blade – Premium American steel known for excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Holds a working edge while remaining easy to maintain.
  • Signature Skip-Checkered G10 Handle – Inspired by the classic Colt skip-checkered 1911 grips, this pattern provides secure traction without excessive abrasion. The alternating texture locks the hand in place during hard use while remaining comfortable for extended carry.
  • Optimized 3.5” Blade / 7.5” Overall Length – Compact enough for daily carry, large enough for serious field work. Balanced for control and fast handling.
  • Two-Tone Stonewashed Finish – Reduces glare, hides wear, and adds long-term durability while highlighting the precision grind lines.
  • Ambidextrous Kydex Sheath – Designed for maximum versatility. Can be worn right or left hand, cutting edge forward or back, inside or outside the waistband, or laced securely to a pack or shoulder strap for adaptable field carry.
  • Individually Serialized – Each knife is marked and includes a metal certificate of authenticity, marking the inaugural release from Wilson Woods Blades.
