This new QD adapter was designed to be used in conjunction with a Strike Industries riser mount for a T1/T2 red dot sight. It has a unique locking method which involves a secondary lock. The secondary lock has a spring loaded latch which auto locks onto the lever when closed to fully maintain tension with the rail under recoil making any accidental “loosening” virtually impossible.
To completely detach from the rail, the secondary lock must be manually lifted in order to unlock the main locking mechanism and lever. The tension adjustment is simple and intuitive knob hidden behind the main lever. It’s firm but easy enough to adjust with a small flathead screw driver or even your finger.
