Designer Goons in collaboration with Dagr and Nott has debuted the Kiowa fixed blade knife series.
Designer Goons state “We teamed up with the guys over at Dagr & Nott for our newest blade collaboration, the Kiowa.
The Kiowa gets its name from, “The Kiowa Apache” which was a tribe and common name for the Apache knife fighting warriors that coined they’re own knife fighting style and system.
The Apaches fought a guerrilla style of warfare against the Spanish, Mexicans, and Americans.
When the Apaches were chased, they would scatter, running across rock to an agreed rendezvous, leaving no trail.
Usually living off the land in a nomadic style, they’re access to a quality knife was they’re life line.
We took a blade the D&N guys had on they’re roster, and redesigned it for what we needed.
The grip profile was redone with more texture, a solid index point and we redefined the blade profile with a false back edge to be more suitable for fighting and every day carry, camping, and hunting rather than just geared towards one use.
The grip material is black epoxied canvas with a native blanket themed inlay.
There will be two colorways available at the release, the black cerekoated blade with blk and native blanket handle, and a acid washed blade with brown and native blanket handle.
These will be limited so strike while the irons hot. More info to come on the drop.
Be watching the new FB group, and set up post notifications on IG for updates.”
