MDT has launched the CKYE-POD GEN3 Compact Bipod, designed for low shooters with adjustable height from 4.6 to 11.9 inches while weighing 20 ounces. It features a dual leg detent and supports ARCA or Picatinny mounting. Additionally, MDT introduced a lightweight Hunt Brake for 30 caliber rifles, enhancing versatility for hunters and competitors.
MDT is releasing the CKYE-POD GEN3 Compact, a shorter version of the GEN3 bipod for shooters who build their positions low. It carries the same GEN3 mechanics as the Single Pull across a reduced height range.
The Compact adjusts from 4.6 to 11.9 inches and weighs 20 ounces with the MDT AP throw lever head, and it stows shorter than the GEN3 Single Pull. The AP head mounts to ARCA or Picatinny and orients four ways for right or left handed shooters and either a push or a pull release.
Built for PRS, PRS22, and NRL competitors who shoot low, the Compact holds cant tension through repeated use and runs a panless design so recoil travels straight rearward. A dual leg detent lets shooters lock the legs stowed or leave them in rapid deploy. The same ride height carries over to hunting and field work.
MDT is also adding a 1/2-28 thread pitch to the Hunt Brake. At 1.7 ounces, the brake is built for light and ultralight hunting rifles and for NRL Hunter competitors, and it fits 30 caliber rifles up to 300 PRC on 1/2-28 threaded barrels. A self timing nut and a leveling flat on the underside let shooters time the ports without shims.
