The Future of Suppressed Performance: Introducing the AAC MPW 300-SD
Introducing the AAC MPW 300-SD

When it comes to suppressed platforms, the industry often sees firearms where the suppressor feels like an afterthought—an add-on attached to a design that wasn’t optimized for it. Advanced Armament Co. is looking to change that narrative with the MPW 300-SD. This isn’t just another firearm with a suppressor attached; it is a complete, purpose-built suppressed system designed from the ground up to operate as a single, cohesive platform. Every aspect of the MPW 300-SD was meticulously specified to address the unique challenges of shooting suppressed, short-barrel 300 Blackout. By treating the entire firearm as one system, AAC has managed to resolve several common issues that plague traditional configurations. With fully ambidextrous controls as a standard feature, there is no need for aftermarket kits or additional options. The AAC MPW 300-SD is a testament to the idea that when you design for the suppressed experience from day one, you get a performance level that separate combinations simply cannot replicate.

Key Innovations Include:

  • Active Gas Management: To combat the elevated back pressure common in suppressed short-barrel setups, the upper receiver features a specialized gasket seal around the charging handle. Combined with an O-ring seal on the forward assist, the system actively redirects gas away from the shooter’s face rather than simply tolerating it.
  • Optimized Performance: The platform utilizes a 5.5-inch 300 Blackout barrel engineered for both subsonic velocity stabilization and reliable cycling with supersonic loads.
  • Integrated Heat Protection: The aluminum handguard features a polymer over-mold and an integrated internal heat shield, which interrupts heat migration from the suppressor and barrel to ensure the shooter maintains control during extended strings of fire.
  • Compact Design: Through a unique “elevated upper receiver profile,” AAC created the necessary internal clearance to tuck the 300-SD suppressor inside the handguard. This allows the suppressor to sit flush with the muzzle, delivering a suppressor system without the standard length penalty.
  • Built for Sustainability: To handle the increased carbon deposits associated with suppressed shooting, the system features a hard chrome coated bolt carrier group (BCG) designed to reduce adhesion and allow for thorough cleaning without sacrificing precision.

Configuration Options

  • The MPW 300-SD is designed to fit your specific needs, whether you are looking for a pistol or a short-barreled rifle (SBR) configuration:
  • MPW 300-SD Pistol: An AR-15 platform pistol featuring a 5.5-inch barrel and brace. Because it is NFA-compliant as a pistol, it does not require a tax stamp for the host firearm, though the 300-SD suppressor itself still requires a separate NFA Form 4.
  • MPW 300-SD SBR: This stock-equipped configuration offers the classic rifle experience and requires an NFA Form 1 or Form 4 for SBR registration, in addition to the separate NFA Form 4 for the suppressor.
