Dynamic Defense’s D.C.S Ambidextrous Fast Reset Safety is an affordable, ambidextrous safety device for AR-15s requiring no trigger modifications. It offers SAFE, SEMI, and SUPER SAFE positions and includes a lever blocker. Made from 4140 PH steel, it aims to democratize fast reset devices while supporting the Second Amendment community.
The D.C.S (Dynamic Common Safety) is the most affordable ambidextrous Fast Reset Safety (FRS) on the market that requires no trigger modification. The D.C.S offers three positions, SAFE, SEMI, and SUPER SAFE. The D.C.S is inspired by Hoffman Tactical’s open-source super safety. To thank Tim Hoffman for his invention, we will donate a portion of all proceeds to his legal fund.
The D.C.S is made to order so there is a 6-8 week lead time for the D.C.S. These are in very high demand. The sooner you order, the shorter your wait time will be. If you are not happy with the wait times, we can issue you a refund upon request, but you will lose your spot in the queue.
Our FRS is compatible with Mil-Spec AR-15 and Geissele Triggers. It has been tested with the Geissele SSA, SSA-E and G2S triggers and should work for other two-stage Geissele triggers. As is common with all fast reset devices, tuning of your system may be necessary to eliminate bolt bounce. We run H3 buffers on Sprinco blue carbine buffer springs. You may achieve good results with a Sprinco blue enhanced power buffer spring and H2 buffer. You can get it to work with less buffer weight, using the BCM MK2 buffer system, as it does a better job at eliminating bolt bounce. KAK Industries is releasing a BCG soon that is designed to help eliminate bolt bounce issues with all FRS devices.
Included with purchase is a 3D printed lever blocker, which stops the trip lever from over rotating beneath the trigger hammer on the Geissele hammer. If you are installing the safety with a standard Mil-Spec trigger, you do NOT need the lever blocker. By including a printed lever blocker, we are able to keep the cost and wait times as low as possible. We ran thousands of rounds with the printed lever blocker and it works great. If you want a metal lever blocker, please visit one of the following websites.
We decided to make the D.C.S because we wanted to bring to market an FRS that has all the features we want, while also being affordable for the community. We want fast reset devices to be proliferated and in “Common Use” to pay it forward to the second amendment. We’re also huge fans of clone rifles, so we designed this with inspiration from the Knights Armament safeties used during the GWOT.
Proudly made in the USA with 4140 PH steel alloy and parkerized with manganese phosphate to keep it accurate to the military safeties. We wanted to make our design as strong as possible, so we overbuilt the trip lever in several areas.
