Palmetto State Armory has launched the H&R 606, a replica of the Vietnam-era Colt 606 rifle. This model features a heavy-profile barrel, barrel-mounted bipod, and is designed in the M16A1 style. Ideal for collectors and AR-15 enthusiasts, the rifle is handcrafted in the USA and available in multiple configurations.
Palmetto State Armory states “The H&R 606 is a faithful reproduction of the Vietnam-era concept Colt 606, featuring a heavy-profile barrel and barrel-mounted bipod for enhanced stability. Built in the M16A1 style, this retro rifle captures an early attempt at a lightweight squad rifle platform, making it ideal for collectors, clone builders, and enthusiasts of classic AR-15 history.
The H&R 606 style rifle closely replicates the early attempt at adding a SAW type weapon to the M16 platform. The upper and lower receivers are black Type 3 Hard Coat Anodized. Bipod adapter is pinned in place, and the M2 M14 style bipod is included. These rifles are hand fitted and assembled right here in the United States of America.”
