Nightfox launches the Artic thermal monocular

Nightfox has launched the Artic thermal monocular, capable of detecting heat signatures up to 180m in zero-light conditions. It features a 50fps thermal sensor, a 5.2cm AMOLED display, and multiple color palettes. Lightweight and rugged, it offers up to 9 hours of runtime and comes with versatile mounting options.

Nightfox states “Detect heat signatures at up to 180m (200yd) instantly using advanced thermal imaging, even in zero-light conditions. Switch between multiple colour palettes and heat filters to suit terrain, weather, or mission. A 50fps thermal sensor with ≦30mK sensitivity delivers fluid, responsive imagery with a crisp 5.2cm (2.06″) AMOLED display – ideal for tracking fast-moving wildlife, search and rescue, or security monitoring. Supplied with a head strap and dovetail adapter for flexible mounting straight out of the box. Fully compatible with Nightfox Prowl 2 mounts and accessories, making Arctic a natural companion for existing Prowl 2 users.

A 24° field of view lets you scan large areas quickly – perfect as a thermal spotter, handheld scanner, or for close-quarter work where a wide viewing angle matters. Lightweight, rugged, and IP65-rated for all-weather operation. Up to 9 hours of runtime from the 3500mAh battery with USB-C charging, plus silent video recording to the included 32GB memory card.”
