ATN announces the release of the Odin 6 MFT thermal optic

ATN Corp has launched the Odin 6 MFT, a versatile thermal optic designed for multiple uses including handheld, helmet-mounted, and weapon-mounted configurations. Utilizing a cutting-edge 6th Generation thermal engine, it offers superior image clarity and detection ranges up to 1,700 meters. Ideal for hunters, law enforcement, and tactical operations, it combines functionality into one compact device.

ATN Corp, a global leader in advanced optics and thermal imaging technology with over 30 years of field-proven innovation, today announced the launch of the ATN Odin 6 MFT (Multi-Functional Thermal) — a professional-grade thermal imaging optic engineered to function as a handheld thermal monocular, helmet-mounted thermal viewer, thermal clip-on optic, and dedicated weapon-mounted thermal sight, all in one compact package. Built on ATN’s all-new 6th Generation thermal engine, the Odin 6 MFT is purpose-built for hunters, ranchers, landowners, law enforcement professionals, and tactical operators who demand maximum versatility without sacrificing performance.

The ATN Odin 6 MFT is a true multi-functional thermal optic designed to replace multiple single-purpose devices. Available in four configurations — Odin MFT 320, Odin MFT 320 LRF, Odin MFT 640, and Odin MFT 640 LRF — it operates in four distinct modes: handheld thermal monocular, helmet-mounted thermal viewer, thermal clip-on for day optics, and dedicated weapon-mounted thermal sight. Compatible with day optics up to 6× magnification and mountable via Wilcox NVG Shoe or Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail, the Odin 6 MFT transitions seamlessly between missions without the need for additional hardware. Select LRF models include an integrated laser rangefinder accurate to 1,000 yards (±1 m), enabling on-demand range data without external gear.

“Our goal with the Odin 6 was simple: create one thermal optic that could do the job of several. Users shouldn’t have to invest in a separate monocular, a clip-on, a helmet system, and a weapon sight. The Odin 6 MFT handles all of it — at a professional level — in a single, compact package.” — James Munn, CEO, ATN Corp

4-IN-1 VERSATILITY: ONE THERMAL OPTIC, FOUR ROLES

The Odin 6 MFT is designed for users who require mission flexibility without carrying multiple optics. It performs equally in four configurations:

Handheld Thermal Monocular: Compact and lightweight at just 0.79 lbs, ideal for scouting, observation, and surveillance while on the move.

Helmet-Mounted Thermal Viewer: Mounts via Wilcox NVG Shoe for hands-free thermal vision in fast-moving or low-light environments.

Thermal Clip-On Optic: Attaches in front of a day optic on small to medium caliber rifles, preserving existing zero while adding thermal capability.

Weapon-Mounted Thermal Sight: Functions as a standalone thermal weapon sight for precision targeting when mounted directly to a firearm.

“The Odin 6 MFT is the most versatile thermal optic ATN has ever produced. Whether you’re scanning a field, conducting surveillance, navigating at night, or mounting it to a firearm, it’s designed to adapt to the mission — not the other way around.” — James Munn, CEO, ATN Corp

SUPERIOR THERMAL PERFORMANCE AND IMAGE CLARITY

At its core is ATN’s 6th Generation thermal engine, built around a 12μm VOx uncooled focal plane array with a ≤15mK NETD rating on 640-series models. Available in 320×240 and 640×480 sensor resolutions with a fast 50Hz refresh rate, this thermal imaging system delivers detection ranges up to 1,700 meters. ATN’s proprietary SharpIR© AI-enhanced imaging technology processes every pixel in real time, sharpening heat signatures and boosting edge definition in cluttered or low-visibility environments. The 0.37-inch OLED display with 1280×1024 resolution provides crisp, high-definition thermal imaging across six selectable color palettes — White Hot, Black Hot, Sepia, Reverse Sepia, High Red, and Low Blue. Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode enables simultaneous zoomed and wide-view imaging, keeping users locked on target without sacrificing situational awareness.

BUILT FOR EVERY MISSION

The Odin 6 MFT is the answer to questions like: What is the best thermal optic for hunting? What is the best thermal optic for law enforcement? What thermal optic can serve as a handheld, helmet-mounted, and weapon-mounted system? Its proven mission applications include:

Predator & Nuisance Hunting: Detects heat signatures of coyotes, hogs, and varmints regardless of lighting conditions, cover, or camouflage — day or night — making it the definitive thermal optic for hunting.

Law Enforcement & Tactical Operations: Delivers reliable thermal detection through fog, smoke, and total darkness for surveillance, perimeter checks, and urban operations. A mission-ready thermal optic for law enforcement and tactical teams.

Security & Surveillance: Supports fixed and mobile overwatch with real-time heat signature detection for property protection and sensitive installations.

Search & Rescue: Lightweight and helmet-mountable for rapid deployment, enabling heat signature detection in darkness, smoke, and dense terrain.

Border Security & Anti-Poaching: Multi-role capability supports mobile units and fixed monitoring in remote, low-visibility environments at extended detection distances.
