Sig Sauer has launched the 516-Mohawk, an upgraded version of the 516 series rifle. Designed for rugged reliability, it features a short-stroke piston system, adjustable gas settings, and a 16-inch barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO. With ambidextrous controls and reinforced components, the 516-Mohawk aims to excel in demanding conditions.

Capable of performing under the harshest conditions, the 516-MOHAWK utilizes premium components and an innovative feature set to deliver uncompromising reliability. Inside the rifle, a short-stroke piston with adjustable gas system, keeps the 516 Mohawk in flawless operation with the ability to tune the gas settings to meet the mission at hand.
Chambered in 5.56 NATO, the 516-MOHAWK is standard with a 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel with a 1:7-inch twist rate. The intuitive design of the 516-MOHAWKs unique rear and side non-reciprocating charging handle allows the rifle to be easily operated in any manner, in any condition.
To support long-term operational use and extended reliability, the rifle features steel reinforced components for high wear areas (cam path and feedramp). The 516-MOHAWK is standard with fully ambidextrous controls including the bolt catch, magazine catch, safety and charging handle. Additional on-rifle components include a SIG Matchlite DUO curved trigger, SIG flash hider compensator, and a free-floating M-LOK handguard.
