Taylor Freelance announces the expansion of their Seattle Slug magazine guide series with new support for Glock’s Gen4 pattern.
Taylor Freelance states “Our Gen. 4 Seattle Slug hit the street this month. Like the original, it fills the hollow space behind the magazine with solid brass, terminating in a shovel-shaped grip extension at the bottom. The extended bit forms a general-purpose mag guide that makes reloads easier, as well as protects the base of the magazine itself. For a duty- or carry-oriented consumer, this one is hard to beat.Unlike traditional magwell extensions, the sides of the stock magazine are left exposed. That allows you to grab the flat-base factory mag and rip it free in case it gets stuck. (Which happens in a weak-mag-spring jam.)The weight of the brass filling the grip, plus the shape of the tip result in a calmer-shooting, softer-recoiling, easier-loading pistol with a lower center of gravity. Like the original, it’s a go-everywhere, do-everything part.If you’ve got a Gen. 4 in your life, take a close look at these. The Gen. 3 version has been a “cult classic” of sorts for decades. Robert Vogel won the USPSA Limited-10 Nationals with one way back in the day. In fact, it’s the original part that started Taylor Freelance 30 years ago – getting updated for today.”
