T.REX Arms has recently shown off their up-coming soon to be released AC1.5 Plate Carrier.
T.REX Arms states “For the AC1.5, we took the bones of the AC1 and tweaked and improved them based on customer feedback and some of the lessons we’ve learned along the way.
The 1.5 features angled shoulder straps for more long-term comfort, a new cummerbund design with pull tab compatibility, a tweave inner lining instead of spacer mesh, a dedicated wing flap, and our modern, less proprietary take on an old placard mounting system.
We are currently receiving the last few batches of 1.5s. Once they go through our internal QC, they will be available on November 13th.”

AC1.5 FEATURES
- 500D Cordura construction.
- Tweave inner lining for comfort and breathability.
- The dedicated wing flap allows for the use of radios or other wing-style attachments without interfering with the cummerbund hook/loop interface.
- MOLLE Row Placard Interface allows for the use of specific placards without hardware, maintaining security while reducing bulk.
- Angled shoulder straps for increased comfort over long periods of use.
AC1.5 CUMMERBUND FEATURES
- Constructed from 5″ tall elastic for added stability and comfort.
- Each cummerbund features three cells in varying sizes. (See graphic below.)
- Fully reversible, allowing you to run the large cell in the front with two cells inverted.
- Internal body side pull tabs reduce hotspots and discomfort.
- Front and middle pockets have been optimized to better fit pistols mags (front) and 5.56 PMAGs (middle).
