Modlite Multi-Mode IR-940 Light Head (Flood)
This is a dedicated IR illumination head that is designed to output IR light in the 940nm IR spectrum. The reflector is designed to deliver a good amount of spill and a well-defined hot spot at distances up to 75 yards depending on atmospheric conditions. If you are looking for the most flood IR head currently available this is the light head you want.
Modlite Multi-Mode IR-850 Light Head (Throw)
This dedicated IR illumination head outputs IR light in the 850nm IR spectrum, illuminating targets out to 300 yards or further depending on atmospheric conditions. The reflector is designed to deliver a good amount of spill and a well-defined hot spot. This is our highest-performance IR head and best suits those looking for the most throw.
Unlike our white light heads which utilize a Multi-Mode that prioritizes the High output, IR Multi-Mode operates with a “Admin/High” prioritization, making for more accessible handheld and helmet worn admin lighting. If Admin mode is not desired, this can be locked out and the light can be run in a “High only” state for weapon-mounted applications.
