Weapons Armament Research earlier this year announced their RMR-G devices which are a RMR optic plate and RMR glass guard.
Currently the RMR-G supports the Glock MOS and FN 509 tactical models of handguns.
Weapons Armament Research states “The RMR-G was developed to help mitigate damage the optic might take during hard use.
Instead of scratching your expensive optic it is guarded by a steel bumper guard.
The guard serves multi purposes, you can do one hand manipulations to chamber a round off the side of any object like a table or ledge.
It also has micro serrations to help it grip in the case of chambering off other things such as another part of your body.
The guard also prevents smudging the glass from racking the slide with your palm.
Aside from that the guard has built in ears that keep the RMR from touching the surface when the pistol is laid down.”
