Hornady known for their premium lines of ammunition is looking to fill a position in their company. For the position of Electro-Mechanical Technician.

Hornady states “Immediate day shift opening for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician at Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island, NE. Electro-Mechanical Technicians install, repair, upgrade and test electronic and computer-controlled mechanical systems to support Hornady manufacturing operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Practice safe work habits while performing electro-mechanical technician duties (i.e. proficient with lockout tagout protocol)
PLC Programming
Troubleshoot production equipment with electronic controls
Design, Build and Rebuild/Repair electronic controlled equipment
Effectively communicate (verbal & written) with co-workers and management regarding projects and status
Ideal candidates will have a Mechatronics Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of electro-mechanical experience or equivalent years (4 yrs) of related work experience, and possess knowledge of mechanical technology and electrical/electronic circuits. Strong mechanical aptitude (hydraulic / pneumatic), attention to detail, and ability to work an average of 50 hours/week required. Heavy lifting required occasionally.
