
Ruger announced the launch of their brand new custom shop with two new custom firearms. A competition SR1911 pistol and a Competition 10/22 rifle, Both iconic firearms from Ruger.

Ruger’s SR1911 Competition Pistol is one of two flagship models to debut Ruger’s new custom shop the new SR911 ( model 6766) is chambered in 9mm and sporing a 5 inch barrel and Hogue Pranha G10 grips on the Black nitrided stainless steel grip frame and black nitride and stainless two-tone slide. The SR1911 competition pistol also features a Techwell magwell and fiber optic adjustable sights. Ruger states “This SR1911® leaves nothing to chance, featuring the precision-machined Koenig Shooting Sports low-mass hammer and competition sear. When combined with the custom flat-faced trigger shoe, precision-machined disconnector and hand-tuned sear spring, you can expect a match-grade, crisp and clean break with every trigger pull. The hand-fitted slide and frame provide a remarkably tight, yet smooth, action. The Ruger® Custom Shop’s uncompromising attention to fine details ensures a world-class level of performance suitable for the most demanding competitors and shooters.” Ruger goes on to state the SR1911 custom pistol’s MSRP of $2,499.00.

Ruger’s Iconic 10/22 in the competition model is the other firearm making its debut in Rugers brand new custom shop. The 10/22 Competition rifle ( model 31120) features a 60661-T6 billet aluminum receiver that is hard coat anodized and sporting a milled-in 30MOA picatinny rail. Ruger’s 10/22 Competition rifle also sports a 4140 heat treated and black nitrided matching bolt that is tight-fitting wich allows for a smooth action that will provide greater accuracy with its tighter tolerances. The Ruger 10/22 Competition Rifle also sports a 16-1/8 inch cold hammer-forged bull barrel that is fluted to reduce weight and dissipate heat. The barrel is also threaded 1/2x28tpi to add muzzle devices. The Stock/chassis features a dual bedding system that incorporates a second bedding lug which is designed to ensure the receiver is rock solid and securely bedded onto the stock itself.
