Sig Sauer expand the SIG516 G3 with new 11.5 variants

Sig Sauer is expanding its robust platform lineup with the introduction of 11.5-inch Pistol and SBR configurations for the SIG516 G3. Moving away from standard direct-impingement systems, the G3 centers on a short-stroke piston operating mechanism paired with a 3-position adjustable gas valve, ensuring consistent cycling and reduced carbon fouling across suppressed and unsuppressed environments. Built for severe duty, the architecture features steel-reinforced components in critical high-wear areas, fully ambidextrous controls, and dual rear and side non-reciprocating charging handles for versatile manipulation. The 11.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is surrounded by a free-floating M-LOK handguard and driven by a crisp Matchlite Duo curved trigger. It is a purpose-built, highly maneuverable short-barreled platform that brings military-grade piston reliability directly to the commercial and professional market.

Now available in compact 11.5″ Pistol and SBR configurations, the SIG516 G3 brings proven piston-driven performance to shooters looking for a shorter, highly maneuverable platform without sacrificing reliability or durability.

At the heart of the system is a short-stroke piston operating system with a 3-position adjustable gas system, providing reliable performance across varying ammunition types and operating conditions.

Designed for durability, the SIG516 G3 features steel-reinforced components in high-wear areas, fully ambidextrous controls, and rear and side non-reciprocating charging handles for intuitive operation.

Combined with an 11.5″ cold hammer-forged barrel, free-floating M-LOK handguard, and Matchlite Duo curved trigger, the SIG516 G3 delivers the piston-driven reliability and performance shooters expect from the platform.
