Haga Defense Teams up with Midwest Industries in new G36 Top Rail

Haga Defense has partnered with Midwest Industries to create a G36 Full-Length Top Rail that replaces the original carrying handle with a robust Picatinny rail. This design features integrated flip-up iron sights for enhanced optics mounting while maintaining a lower profile, improving sight alignment and functionality. Made in the USA, it offers significant versatility.

The Haga Defense Full-Length Top Rail with Flip-Up Iron Sights replaces the factory G36 carrying handle with a rigid, one-piece Picatinny rail and integrated Midwest Industries Combat flip-up sights. Machined in the USA in collaboration with Midwest Industries, this rail gives you a continuous MIL-STD-1913 optics platform while keeping backup irons ready when you need them and folded out of the way when you don’t.

Built as a direct replacement for the factory handle, the full-length design runs the entire top of the receiver for maximum mounting space—red dots, LPVOs, magnifiers, and more—without stacking extra sight bases onto a short rail. All-metal construction helps stiffen the polymer G36 receiver. The lower-profile rail sits optics closer to the bore than the factory carrying handle, cutting height-over-bore for a more natural sight picture. Midwest Industries Combat front and rear sights are built in and fold flat, so there are no fixed irons crowding or blocking your optic.
