PSA expands Sabre series with new Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower

Palmetto State Armory (PSA) introduces the Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower, enhancing the Sabre series with ambidextrous features and a traditional mil-spec layout. Available in six finishes, it supports user-friendly bolt controls. Adjustments may be necessary for specific setups to ensure reliable magazine lockback. Ideal for customized builds.

PSA is expanding the Sabre lineup with the new Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower, developed in response to customer requests for a more traditional mil-spec-style option following the release of the Sabre Enhanced Receiver Sets.

The new lower adds ambidextrous functionality while keeping a familiar overall layout and will launch in multiple finishes.

Ambidextrous Bolt Catch and Release
The Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower comes pre-installed with an ambidextrous bolt catch and release.

This allows users to access bolt controls from either side of the lower, adding convenience while maintaining a familiar mil-spec-style configuration.

Available in Six Colors
PSA plans to offer the Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower in six finishes:

Black anodized
Burnt Bronze Cerakote
Blue Titanium Cerakote
FDE Cerakote
Moss Green Cerakote
Champagne Cerakote
This gives customers several options for matching the lower to different build styles and color schemes.

Tuning Considerations
PSA notes that the ambidextrous bolt catch is not a standard mil-spec bolt catch, which may affect lockback behavior on some setups.

If the bolt does not lock back on an empty magazine, PSA recommends checking the firearm’s overall tuning.

Potential adjustments mentioned in the video include:

Adjusting an adjustable gas block, if equipped
Increasing buffer weight if needed
The goal is to ensure reliable empty-magazine lockback.

Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower Takeaway
The Sabre Ambi Mil-Spec Lower combines a traditional mil-spec-style receiver layout with ambidextrous bolt controls and a wide range of finish options.

With six colors, pre-installed ambi controls, and compatibility with familiar build configurations, the new lower gives Sabre customers another option for creating a customized setup.
