The kit maintains MOLLE compatibility and does not require modifications to the existing cummerbund. It is designed for stability and performs well under IR light.
The 5AC Cobra Buckle Kit converts the 5″ Assault Cummerbund front Velcro® interface into a rugged, quick-release buckle connection that secures directly to the front plate pockets. This upgrade streamlines your plate carrier for rapid deployment by allowing for easy don/doffing without the need to lift or break your front flap, maintaining a clean, locked-in front profile. Built to preserve full capability and stability, the design still supports MOLLE-compatible pouch mounting directly over the side buckle point without sacrificing usable space. The 5AC Cobra Buckle Kit installs with zero permanent modifications to your existing 5AC and can be completely reverted at any time.
