Glock wins Royal Canadian Mounted Police Contract

Glock has been awarded a contract to supply the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with G45 pistols, evaluated through extensive testing. The collaboration includes features such as Aimpoint red dot sights and Streamlight weapon lights. This contract underscores Glock’s commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies globally.

Glock states “The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is Canada’s national police service, responsible for federal law enforcement and contracted policing in Canadian provinces and communities. The RCMP plays a key role in maintaining public safety across the country and has a long-standing reputation for service.

GLOCK will supply RCMP officers with new G45 pistols, together with RAMPART Corp., Canada’s leading supplier of operational equipment to miliary and law enforcement customers. The selection by the RCMP came only after an intense, competitive evaluation that involved extensive testing and safety qualifications. This included more than 20,000 rounds fired through the GLOCK pistols over a two-day period and major drop-testing. After all equipment passed the rigorous evaluation, the selection process moved forward.

The G45 pistols will be equipped with the Aimpoint® ACRO P-2 red dot sight and the Streamight® TLR-7®A rail-mounted weapon light, holstered in a Safariland® 6360RDS holster and housed in a custom NANUK® case.

GLOCK has supported law enforcement agencies worldwide since it’s inception by providing trusted, safe products to those who serve and protect, and this award only reinforces GLOCK’s continued, unwaivering commitment to those who serve.”
