EAA Corp has announced the production release of the Girsan Witness2311 CMX and CMXX series, enhancing the classic 1911 design with modern features. The CMX offers improved concealability and match-grade performance, while the CMXX introduces a compensated barrel for reduced recoil. Both models emphasize control and carry readiness.

The next-generation Girsan Double Stack Witness2311® CMX Series takes the 1911 platform to a new level. Built to be compatible with many 1911 slides, barrels, and parts, the CMX isn’t just another “double stack” trying to look the part, it’s a true evolution of the 1911 design, upgraded with match grade performance where it matters most.
As the successor to the original platform, the CMX refines the system for modern performance. By replacing the traditional 1911 grip safety with an Auto Firing Pin Block, the CMX achieves a slimmer, more streamlined grip module.
A low profile magwell improves concealability, while aggressive all-around texturing delivers a locked in feel and control under pressure. The CMX is built for modern carry setups, with a direct mount RMSc optic cut and a full accessory rail for lights or lasers. Finished with a crisp, 4.5 lb max tuned trigger, it delivers consistent performance when it matters most.
Girsan Witness2311® CMXX
The Next Generation Witness2311 CMXX pushes the iconic 1911 platform beyond its limits, delivering double stack capacity in a carry ready package. Its integral compensated barrel helps reduce felt recoil for faster, flatter shooting.
As the successor to the original compensated Match X, the CMXX is the first compact compensated double-stack 1911 chambered in 10mm. A redesigned frame eliminates the traditional 1911 grip safety, creating a slimmer, more streamlined grip, while adding an automatic firing pin block. The CMXX is also offered in 9mm and .45 ACP.
A new grip module with a smaller magwell improves concealability, while aggressive 360° texturing keeps the pistol locked in your hand under recoil. An extended beavertail with a lower angle helps protect your shooting hand, and front and rear slide serrations enhance control during press checks and manipulations, making the CMXX a great everyday carry handgun.
