Smith & Wesson has introduced the Bodyguard®38 2.0, a compact and lightweight revolver designed for personal protection. Chambered in .38 S&W Special +P, it features a 1.875″ stainless-steel barrel, ambidextrous operation, and enhanced sighting options. Priced at $449 or $549 with a laser, it offers practicality and performance for everyday carry.

Chambered in .38 S&W Special +P, this double-action only, 5-shot revolver features a 1.875” stainless-steel barrel and a one-piece aluminum alloy upper frame, striking a balance between durability and reduced weight for everyday carry. The Bodyguard 38 2.0 measures 4.6 inches in height, 1.35 inches in width, and weighs 14.2 ounces. An ambidextrous, center-mounted cylinder release allows for effortless operation with either hand, supporting intuitive use for both right- and left-handed shooters. Its machined U-notch rear sight, paired with an orange partridge-style front sight, enhances target acquisition in varied light conditions, while the included polymer boot-style grip improves control and shootability. Users also have the option to purchase this model with an integrated Crimson Trace® red laser pre-installed out of the box.
