EOTECH has introduced the VUDU 4-12×36 FFP riflescope, designed for superior performance and durability in a compact size. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, it features quick magnification adjustments, a First Focal Plane reticle, and an illuminated setting with a CR2032 battery. At 7.1 inches, it suits short rifles and night vision optics, ensuring versatility for professionals.

The scope body is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum to be a compact, lightweight, but incredibly durable package that is fog, water, and shock-resistant. The wide power band on the eyepiece makes transitioning from low to high magnification quick and easy, and the substantial “boss” feature makes it even faster. Additionally, an adjustable diopter located at the rear of the optic allows for precise focus tailored to each individual’s vision.
Measuring only 7.1 inches long, the Vudu 4-12 is ideal for short rifle systems with limited rail space or for use in combination with clip-on night vision and thermal optics. Unlike its Vudu 3-9 predecessor, the 4-12 incorporates a First Focal Plane (FFP) design. In FFP scopes, the reticle is positioned at the front of the optical system, causing the reticle to appear to grow or shrink with the magnification. This ensures that the reticle subtensions remain proportional to the target image regardless of the magnification setting—a feature preferred by professional users for long-range shooting and quick adjustments. A rotary dial located on the left side of the optic provides an illuminated reticle with 10 brightness settings to assist in dusk and dawn lighting conditions. Between each brightness setting is an “off” position, making it easy to dial to your preferred intensity. The unit is powered by a CR2032 battery, providing roughly 300 hours of operation.
The 4-12 sports the same XC high-density, low-dispersion multi-coated glass found in other Vudu optics, providing excellent light transmission and scene clarity. The scope’s turrets offer 1/10 MRAD adjustments and are capped to protect against inclement weather or inadvertent movement. Once the scope is zeroed, the turrets can be quickly reset to zero. To minimize overall length, EOTech reduced the tube area typically used for mounting rings. Instead, a machined interface at the bottom of the scope adapts to the included EOTech mount or any aftermarket mini-ACOG mounts, allowing it to mount directly to a MIL-STD rail.
For those wanting a non-magnified solution, EOTech offers an optional ring mount that attaches to the slim front tube section to host an EFLX red dot. This can be positioned at the top or at 45-degree offsets to provide immediate transitions for close or moving targets.
