Dull Boy Blades introduces the Small Stick, a modern version of childhood sharpening sticks. Constructed from a heat-treated S7 Tool steel rod with a 3D printed handle and a practical sheath made of flexible TPU, the tool features a uniquely sharpened tip designed for small cutting tasks, emphasizing usability and durability.
Dull Boy Blades state “The SMALL STICK is the modern evolution of sharpening sticks I would find as a kid. The materials and methods have changed, but the drive to make pointy things has continued.
The SMALL STICK is a simple spike, made from a heat treated S7 Tool steel rod and a 3D printed handle. The rod is seated almost the entire way into the handle making it practically full tang. The tip sharpened with three bevels, creating three small edges that can be used for small cutting tasks.
The sheath for this tool is printed in TPU, a flexible filament. You may be surprised that the sheath feels quite rigid, but the little bit of compliance that the material has allows the sheath to retain the spike nicely.”
