This limited-edition commemorative pistol, which begins with a classic 1911 platform, has been meticulously embellished with imagery inspired by the origins, traditions, and legacy of the Marine Corps. Each engraving pays tribute to the Corps’ storied past, from its birth at Philadelphia’s historic Tun Tavern in 1775, where the first Marines enlisted under Captain Samuel Nicholas, to the battles that forged its reputation.
Prominent among the design elements is the iconic phrase “to the shores of Tripoli,” honoring the Marines’ pivotal role in the First Barbary War and immortalized in the opening lines of the Marine Corps Hymn.
