SK Customs states “SK Customs is proud to introduce the Gun of the Year for 2025, Limited to only ONE of 300 Colt 1911s chambered in .38 Super.
Jesús Malverde, often called “El Bandido Generoso” (translated: “The Generous Bandit,”) is a legendary figure from the Mexican state of Sinaloa whose story blends folklore, regional history and cultural identity. Believed to have lived around the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Malverde is said to have been a humble laborer who turned to banditry after experiencing hardship and injustice.
According to tradition, he stole from wealthy landowners, corrupt officials and abusive elites. He redistributed goods and money to the poor and marginalized communities who had few protections or opportunities.
Though historical documentation about his life is limited and often contradictory, Malverde’s legend has grown far beyond the scarce facts available. For many, he symbolizes resistance, generosity and protection in the face of inequality. His followers have built a shrine in Culiacán, where visitors leave photographs, offerings and small tokens of gratitude for help they believe he has granted—such as safe travels, recovery from illness or relief from financial struggles.”
