FN Specialties announces up-coming FRT90 forced reset trigger for the FN PS90

FN Specialties announces the FRT90 forced reset trigger for the FN PS90, designed by Dorin Technologies. This upgrade features a patent-pending mechanism with a 3-position selector—Safe, Semi, and FRT Mode—allowing faster cycling while retaining control and familiar ergonomics. It enhances both standard and forced-reset firing capabilities.

FN Specialties state “The FRT90 (Forced Reset Trigger) is a next-generation fire-control upgrade developed by Dorin Technologies for the FN PS90 platform. Utilizing a proprietary internal mechanism and advanced geometry (patent pending), the FRT90 enhances the factory trigger pack to support a dedicated 3-position selector—Safe, Semi, and a third position engineered specifically for forced-reset operation. This system allows shooters to select standard semi-automatic only fire or semi-automatic fire with a forced-reset mechanism, enabling significantly faster cycling while maintaining full control and the familiar PS90 ergonomics.”

3-Position Selector: Safe, Semi & FRT Mode

The FRT90 incorporates a selector configuration tailored for the PS90 platform, giving the shooter fast, intuitive access to all modes. The selector interface itself is part of Dorin Technologies’ proprietary design (patent pending):

  • Safe — Mechanical safety blocks trigger movement.
  • Semi — Standard PS90 semi-automatic operation for training, precision shooting, and general range use.
  • FRT Mode — Engages the forced-reset mechanism, providing a more rapid trigger return while still requiring a separate pull for each shot fired.
