Shadow Strategic has launched the LVAW SURV adapter for MLOK accessories, allowing compatibility without permanent modifications. The adapter aligns with MLOK indexing nipples for direct bolting of accessories, confirmed to work with Magpul VFG and Emissary Development handbrake. Note that it comes with 10/32 screws and warns against using 10/24 screws.
Shadwo Strategic states “Announcing our LVAW SURF 🏄. It adapts the LVAW handguard mounting interface to accept some MLOK accessories without having to permanently modify them.
This adapter flushes the MLOK indexing nipples and allows you to bolt the accessory directly to the rail. We’ve only confirmed that this works with Magpul MLOK VFG and @emissarydevelopment handbrake and similar VFG that uses 10/32 or 10/24 screws. For example we’ve tried the LDAG and it does not work, the screws are smaller diameter.
Each Surf will come with a set of 10/32 screws which must be used. Do not try to thread 10/24 screws into LVAW handguard as it will strip threads.”
