Manticore Arms introduces the Brimstone Forend for the Springfield Hellion bullpup, crafted from a solid 6061 aluminum billet. Weighing just 9.6 ounces, it features four M-LOK slots, QD pockets, and is designed for stability. Its limited production is due to extensive machining required, making it a unique offering.
Manticore Arms states “Here it is. Machined from a 5 pound billet of solid 6061 aluminum, only 9.6 ounces, milspec Type III black anodizing, and ROCK SOLID. I spent over four months dialing in the fit to be snug and perfect.The Brimstone Forend has been a dream of mine for a while- a new Manticore aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the Hellion, 4 M-LOK slots on each side and the underside, a QD pocket on each side, and capable of mounting lights, lasers, and vertical foregrips with no flex or movement.
So if this is so perfect, why is it a “Limited Edition”? Quite simply, it takes way more time to machine that we anticipated – undercuts, internal M-LOK slotting, removing material to lighten it up, getting the fitment just right. This ended up being a great learning experience on what capabilities we can do and how to push the boundaries of machining, and I felt that alone justified at least one batch of them, even if we had to hold a price that was considerably lower than makes sense for the time that goes into it!”
