Herrington Arms has launched the HAQR quick release comp and mounting solution system, developed over five years. This innovative threadless system features a match-grade barrel and three initial attachments. Designed for Gen 5 Glock 19/45, it aims to replace traditional set screw designs with a more efficient, tool-less approach.
Herrington Arms state “Introducing our new HAQR comp and mounting solution! This is a quick release barrel and comp combo that we have spent the last 5 years developing through multiple iterations. This is a THREADLESS and TRUE tooless quick release comp + barrel combo that is its own ecosystem. We will have 3 attachments for this ecosystem upon release: 3 port comp, a muzzle “weight” (for USPSA mainly), and a 1/2-28 threaded attachment for suppressors. Others will be released as time goes on, these are the ones we are starting with first. These will be for the Gen 5 Glock 19/45’s first and then trickle this in to other platforms.
The barrel is a match grade barrel made of hardened 416R Stainless and the attachments are hardened 416R stainless as well. Both will be black PVD coated. Units will come with the HAQR barrel and 3 port comp. The other attachments will be available separately. We will also include a 3D printed button to help aid in taking the attachments off, but you can use your thumb as well. This is a huge step for us at HA and a truly innovative part for the end user. This is a first of its kind and we will keep the innovation moving forward as time progresses. Our goal is to completely move away from the current set screw design and move towards HAQR.”
