It enhances night vision compatibility, minimizes interference with goggles, and features multiple mounting options. Made from 7075-T6 aluminum, it weighs 1.9 oz.
Staker Precision states “The SAM is an offset mount for a Trijicon ACOG/compact ACOG, Primary Arms Prism/Micro Prism or N-vision NOX18 which positions it at a 36 degree angle to be used in conjunction with Aimpoint T2 (or similar red dot) + riser mounted on top rail. This allows for the quickest, seamless transition from 1x to magnified or thermal without having to flip up a magnifier or move your head up/down. The side mounted optic is optimal for night vision as it minimizes the clashing of nightvision googles on your weapon mounted optics vs an ACOG + vertically mounted red dot or T2 + flip-to-center magnifier.”
