Ascend ISR Systems introduces the MORSEL X10D

Ascend ISR Systems has unveiled the MORSEL X10D, developed in collaboration with Skydio for the X10D defense drone. This system enhances stealth by masking thermal output and reducing IR visibility, offering significant tactical advantages. Additionally, a CHADD unit counteracts targeting systems, making the X10D more elusive in hostile environments.

Ascend ISR Systems state “After noting the MORSEL’s capabilities and seeing it perform in operational environments like Ukraine, Skydio approached us to adapt the system for their X10D defense drone, a platform already at the forefront of modern SUAS operations.

The result is the MORSEL X10D, engineered to mask thermal output, break up visual profiles, and reduce IR illumination when observed under modern night vision devices. Purpose-built for the X10D, it gives the aircraft a significant edge against the latest air supremacy systems designed to locate and destroy drones.

We’ve also developed a tailored CHADD unit for the platform, our counter-aperture detection system designed to defeat targeting arrays like the Russian Sosna-N. Together, these systems make the X10D a more elusive target in the most hostile environments.

We’re proud to bring this capability to the field and proud to deliver it to operators who need every advantage in the fight.”
