This also allows the user to have more control of the forend of the rifle without touching a hot barrel or applying too much pressure to the barrel for POI variation. The mirage shields will allow enough room for up to a 1.250” contour barrel. These are available in stackable sections which are nearly seamless and allows you to cover as little or as much of the forend as you see fit.
