Major Wholesaler Lipsey’s debuts two new exclusive Smith & Wesson 629 and 686 Plus Mountain guns.

Lipsey’s has introduced two exclusive Smith & Wesson Mountain Guns: the 10mm 610 N-Frame and the .22LR 617 K-Frame. These new models maintain the classic design and features of the original lineup while incorporating modern materials. They aim to cater to revolver enthusiasts looking for quality options in the field and at the range.

Lipsey’s state “Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, has launched two brand-new Smith & Wesson Mountain Gun exclusives for summer.

Riding the success of the Smith & Wesson models 629 and 686 Plus Mountain Guns launched at SHOT Show this year, Lipsey’s expanded the line to include two new calibers. The new additions include the Smith & Wesson 610 N-Frame Mountain Gun chambered in 10mm, and the 617 K-Frame Mountain Gun chambered in 22LR. The 610 marks the first time the 10mm has been offered in the Mountain Gun configuration. With fewer than fifty made some years ago, the 10-shot 617 Mountain Gun will now be in full production.

These two new revolvers add to the current line while maintaining the aesthetics and form factor of the initial offerings. It was essential for both Lipsey’s and Smith & Wesson to maintain the synergy of the Mountain Gun line. The new models will continue to feature classic lines, including 1-piece tapered barrels, round butt frames and beveled cylinders, while incorporating modern endurance and materials. These new Lipsey’s Exclusive revolvers also include walnut Bear Hug style grips from Tyler Gun Works, gold bead front sights, and flash chrome hammer and trigger sets. And of course, no internal locks.

Jason Cloessner, Lipsey’s Senior Vice President and Product Development Manager, was eager to get these new Lipsey’s Exclusives to market. “The Mountain Gun series blends old school revolver looks and feel with modern materials and endurance upgrades. Adding the 22 LR and 10mm to the lineup gives revolver fans two great options for the field or on the range.”
