Phase 5 Weapon Systems introduces the HexCan XL, an extended version of the FlashCan muzzle device. Designed to redirect gases and flash away from the shooter, it enhances shooting comfort with short-barrel rifles. The HexCan XL is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, available in two thread patterns, and weighs 3.95oz.
Phase 5 states “The Phase 5 HexCan XL is a longer version of our popular FlashCan muzzle device and is designed to direct gases, sound, and flash away from the shooter. Forcing the muzzle blast further down-range will especially help improve your experience while shooting a short barrel rifle or AR pistol. The hex design and longer length gives the HexCan XL the custom look you’ve been searching for.
The Phase 5 HexCan XL is not designed to to reduce the sound signature of a fire round and, therefore, is no an NFA device.
The HexCan XL can also be flipped and installed with the muzzle device overlaying the barrel. This configuration will not direct the gases down-range, but will give your build the appearance of having a shorter barrel while maintaining the benefits the longer length.”
