It features a TQ Tuck Tab System for secure, weather-resistant tourniquet placement and dual elastic sleeves for shears and other items. The first ever TQ Tuck Tab System secures the TQ underneath the windlass providing protection from the elements and eliminating Velcro snag hazards. The self-reinforced thermoplastic composite tuck tab provides passive retention and enables single-handed ambidextrous retrieval (compatible with SOF T and CAT tourniquets). The backside of the TQS features dual elastic sleeves designed for retention of shears (compatible with 6.25″ to 7.25″ shears) sharpie markers, decompression needles, chem lights, or any other similar sized medical items.
The TQS features a two-way mounting system allowing the TQ to be mounted as a hanger or wing utilizing the hook and loop (vertically or horizontally) or directly attached to the ITRK (Improved Trauma Response Kit). The exterior facing hook on the mounting system eliminates adhesion loss when mounted to inner belt systems.”
