While the P3000 Tactical is based on Stoeger’s proven P3000 pump-action workhorse, several enhancements place it firmly in the defensive firearm category.
First is the all-new stock system featured on each one of Stoeger’s new-for-2025 Tactical-series shotguns. Designed as a hybrid between a traditional fixed stock and the pistol grip/AR-style stock configurations seen on many tactical shotguns, the P3000 Tactical stock incorporates a pronounced pistol grip for optimal weapon retention and muzzle control with a buttstock featuring both QD swivel and M-LOK mounting points for multiple sling arrangements. An elevated cheek riser ensures good eye alignment behind the factory open sight system or the user’s optic of choice.
The P3000 Tactical includes the same sturdy, impact-resistant rear ghost ring and front post arrangement found on more expensive defensive shotguns. If optics are your preference, it’s easy to mount one onto the included Picatinny top rail or the factory optic cut using supplied adaptor plates that have an RMR or Burris footprint.
The P3000 Tactical is chambered for 2 3/4- and 3-inch shotshells and is capable of handling 3-inch magnum loads. Capacity is 4+1, and the shotshells feed through an expanded and beveled loading port to facilitate quick target reengagement.
Finally, the P3000 Tactical comes with an OD Green Cerakote® finish that is rust and corrosion resistant.
