SOF Industries has debuted The AIM patent pending Advanced Ironsight Module.

SOF Industries state “The AIM was invented out of necessity. One day my grandmother called me and told me she had purchased a firearm and wanted me to show her how to use it. I came over and began showing her the cycle of operations and handed it back to her so she could run through what I had shown her only to discover that she couldn’t rack the slide back due to the severe arthritis she had in her hands.

The A.I.M.™ rear iron sight gives its user increased dexterity during weapon manipulation when racking the slide of their handgun, with a footprint on the firearm that is smaller than most red dot optics. This feature allows for exceptional one-handed weapon manipulations when the operator’s off-hand is incapacitated or unavailable.

When paired with a .300” height, tritium or fiber-optic illuminated FSP, sight picture mirrors that of an analog red dot. The 45° and 35° internal angles of the A.I.M.™ correspond with the natural 45° and 35° angles of the human body at the shoulders and pelvic girdle respectively. This allows the A.I.M.™ to intuitively coincide with these angles in a way that frames the target while maintaining full field of view.

The inherent Diamond of Death™ rear aperture of the A.I.M.™ creates a large, open sight concept that is similar in form factor to most electronic red dot optics. This allows the user to quickly center the front sight post into the Diamond of Death™ for exceptionally rapid target acquisition and engagement even in low-light conditions.”
