Volquartsen Firearms has recently shown off their new 6 inch Lightweight Carbon fiber barreled Ruger MK IV receiver.

Inspired by our success with our Lightweight Carbon Fiber Barrels for the 10/22, we’ve applied these improvements to our new complete Lightweight Upper for the Ruger MK IV.
Each 6″ barrel is made from stainless steel and features a laser-hardened breech face for maximum durability even at extreme round counts exceeding 100,000. Our unique design utilizes a woven carbon fiber sleeve for rigidity while still providing an air space between the sleeve and barrel for heat dissipation. This barrel is then threaded into a Ruger MK IV upper receiver.
It’s easy to install on any Ruger MK IV lower frame, thanks to its push-button takedown system.
