CMMG has announced the launch of the new DEFCAN 86 suppressor designed as a multi-caliber big bore silencer.

CMMG states “Big calibers need a big can, and for centerfire rifle calibers up to .36 caliber, the DEFCAN-86 is rated to tame the noise, even for those rowdy magnum cartridges. The generous diameter profile allows for greater internal volume without adding unwieldy length to the host firearm while keeping the weight at a scant 14.8 oz with the included direct thread mount.

Made from 3D metal printed titanium for superior durability, the DEFCAN-86 has no minimum barrel length restrictions and features the industry standard 1.375-24″ threaded HUB mount pattern, allowing for an easy changeover to different direct thread and QD mounts.“

Designed for optimal 8.6 BLK suppression, the DEFCAN-86 can accommodate centerfire rifle cartridges up to .36 caliber (9mm).

No Barrel Length Restrictions
Titanium body and baffle construction ensure the suppressor remains lightweight and durable with no minimum barrel length restrictions, and magnum cartridge rated.
