Q LLC has announced the roll out of their 8.6 BLK Boombox.
Q LLC states “So the goal started out as a submachine gun in a bigger cartridge than .300 Blackout with those super and subsonic capabilities. But then we saw the gun was so much more and had so much more potential. What if we designed something that allowed us to do what you can’t do? What if I could give you a .308 the size of your AR-15? What if I could develop 8.6 and you get a 350-grain subsonic bullet? What if that is 1 MOA at 300 meters, quieter than a suppressed .300 Blackout with a bullet that’s twice the size and three times the energy? What about a .308 barrel? What about a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel? What about a 6 Creedmoor barrel? What if you just had to switch the barrel? What if it’s so easy it can be done in a matter of a couple minutes? What about durability? What about putting steel feed ramps in the receiver? How do we make the stiffest forend possible so that your lasers stay aligned and zeroed when you’re loading your bod? Make no mistake. Look at every piece of the gun from the charging handle to the bolt, to the feed ramps, to the gas block, to the gas tube. Every piece of this gun is intentionally unique for performance, not for flash, not to cost a lot of money, for peak performance. That’s what this gun is. But we want to build the best thing, and that’s what we did.”
