Vanguard Outfitters has expanded on their popular BlackFang line of ammunition with new support for 300BLK.

Vanguard Outfitters state “This is 300 Blackout caliber – Featuring a 110 grain Blackfang design projectile that reaches 2400 plus FPS muzzle velocity from 16 inch rifle barrels.
This ammunition is manufactured by us utilizing new brass and the highest caliber components.

In this cartridge, the bullet is a 110 gr custom made solid copper alloy lathed projectile.

It has patented drive-bands and grooves multiple US patents awarded and patents pending.

It is composed of a proprietary copper alloy tempered to ensure hard-hitting penetration but also promote momentum transfer to soft tissues, organs, and bones.

This round tends to crush bones and disrupt organs.

This round does not just sail through tissue leaving a small hole.

It is specifically engineered and designed for 30 cal ammo such as 300 blackout, 7.62×39, and other 308 to achieve the highest accuracy with the bore/groove/twist specifications for this caliber.”

  1. I went to their website for the purpose of learning what makes this ammo so special, hopefully some 4k super slo-mo ballistics gel testing or something of the like to convince me. Imagine my surprise when I found absolutely no information of that nature but I did learn that it is currently only being sold in lots of 100 rounds for the low-low price of $175 + tax & S&H for a preorder where they take your money and allegedly deliver your ammo 16 weeks later. After that preorder special it will climb to $1.95/rd. However, in lieu of the detailed explanation and informative test results, they do provide this piece of information:

“Legends claim the Obsidian Dragon could render any foe low with a single bite. Warriors of lore skilled and fortunate to defeat one, coveted its fangs to fashion weapons like no other.”

    Yeah, I’m good on that.
