Hoffman Tactical has released their innovation with the SL-9 featuring last round bolt hold open.
Hoffman Tactical states “The SL-9 is a 3D printed AR-9 lower receiver.
It features a 3D printed mag catch, ejector, last round bolt hold open, Glock mag compatibility, and all of the earlier improvements made on the V4.8 SL-15.
Rear of the bolt catch the SL-9 lower is almost identical to the SL-15 lower.
It shares the same support rib, buffer tower, integrated pistol grip, and other improvements of the third generation lowers.
The front end was a full redesign of the older V1.2 AR-9 Super Lower.
The magazine catch and ejector are of a similar design, but have been reworked.
A magazine over insertion tab has been added, which allowed for a lighter mag catch spring, alleviating issues with the printed mag catch bending.
The last round bolt hold open was designed to use printed parts and a 1/8″ hex shaft.
The system has proven to be exceedingly reliable, and the hex shaft can be taken from any set of Allen keys that have sufficient length, and that you also happen to not be too fond of 😉
Overall the V2.8 SL-9 is a great improvement over the older V1.2 AR-9 lower.”
