Setting OPS-16R apart from other piston-driven firearms is the self-regulating Osprey Defense piston design that enables users to shoot suppressed and unsuppressed seamlessly without any need for adjustments to the gas block.
Chambered in 5.56 NATO, Franklin Armory’s OPS-16R also uniquely operates without any piston springs, reducing the number of moving parts for a cleaner and more reliable firing experience.
Featuring the same slimline M-LOK handguard from Franklin Armory’s innovative F17 line of gas-piston driven rimfire rifles chambered in the high-velocity .17 Winchester Super Magnum caliber along with Franklin Armory’s proprietary Triumvir® muzzle device, OPS-16R is a sharp-looking rifle that shoots exceptionally smooth. OPS-16R’s impressive profile is further enhanced with a B5 grip and SOPMOD adjustable stock.
The base OPS-16R has an MSRP of $1,349.99. The Binary Firing System® (BFSIII®) equipped configuration has an MSRP of $1,539.99.
