Kimber has recently release their latest with the R7 Mako Tactical Model.

Kimber states “Immediately after the release of the KDS9c Rail last week, Kimber releases the new R7 MAKO Tactical with additional features requested by customers.

Featuring a picatinny rail, threaded barrel and direct mount Holosun 407K optic – the R7 MAKO Tactical is yet another example of Kimber providing the features requested by customers.

Like the original R7 MAKO, the tactical model is built to exact tolerances found in the current highly reliable striker fired pistols from Kimber.

This latest addition highlights the continuing shift toward optic and light bearing firearms demanded by today’s concealed carry owner.

This new offering comes standard as the “TAC PAC” which features two 15 round magazines, an MFT Kydex molded Holster and gray range bag.

The R7 MAKO Tactical is designed to compete and exceed the expectations of the polymer, striker fired pistol market. Features such as an ambidextrous magazine release, aluminum flat faced trigger, direct mount optic, and higher capacity help create a cornerstone in this highly popular category for the Kimber family of pistols.

The R7 MAKO is already widely known for spectacular ergonomics, unmatched accuracy and relentless reliability.

Ron Dudzic Senior Director of Product Management and Customer Experience stated: “The next evolution of R7 Mako is here, the R7 Mako Tactical!

We have expanded the capacity to 15+1, added a direct-mount Holosun K footprint, extended and threaded the barrel, and redesigned the grip frame to include a Picatinny rail.

Even better, the R7 Mako Tactical includes the Tac-Pack which adds a spare magazine and MFT Tactical holster.

This new R7 Mako is ready for any situation!” The R7 MAKO Tactical will begin shipping at the end of January.

This new model will also be available in states with capacity restrictions with a 10-round magazine.”
