Antimatter Industries has introduced their latest offering and this time for pistols, the Wing thumb ledge.

Antimatter Industries states “Competitive shooters have been using thumb-ledges for many years to help recoil control.

Why don’t we see them outside of open division? Standard thumb ledges significantly widen your pistol and require a competition holster not designed for duty use.

The Wing replaces your Surefire x300 picatinny side lug.

Once you draw, it auto-deploys, letting you control recoil while still using your IWB or Safariland holster.

With a little practice, you’ll get it to collapse consistently with a one-handed re-holster. It’s pretty instinctive.”

  1. We are seeing ledges in the wild more and more. Tactical Development Pro Ledge like in the 365s is one that even has holsters available for it through Greyman Solutions.
For most folks carrying for self defense it’s unnecessary. Your thumbs aren’t gonna be out long enough to get tired.
This might be a solution by using the light so it’ll adapt to more holsters and I’ll check it out though I’m not really a fan of them. I do like the outside the box thinking though.
